Javier Simancas Chávez is a seasoned Spanish-English interpreter with over 20 years of experience in legal and medical interpreting, both in-person and remotely via phone (OPI) and video (VRI). He is certified by the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) and has extensive experience in high-stakes legal proceedings such as depositions, hearings, sworn statements, and attorney-client meetings, as well as emergency room visits, mental health consults, and primary care settings.
He is the founder and CEO of Interpreters and Translators of America LLC, an organization committed to improving language access compliance for state, local, and federal institutions throughout Arkansas. Through ITA LLC, Javier has trained dozens of bilingual professionals in ethical, professional interpreting practices, and advised institutions on meeting the standards set by the U.S. Department of Justice Language Access Plan.
